Our roots are anchored here.
Give the gift of great wine!
OUR ROOTS.
Anchored Roots Vineyard & Winery was established in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin in 2020 by Eric and Amy Gale when the Wisconsin natives returned to their roots following a combined 12 years in the Washington State wine industry. They had their sights set on the Door Peninsula since the two began contemplating a future in viticulture and enology, and set anchor on a beautiful 38-acre property on Willow Road, 1/2 mile off Highway 42. This is now the site of their vineyard, production facility, and tasting room.
OUR VINES.
Our estate vineyard was established in 2020 with a modest planting of 3 acres of vines. Varieties included Marquette, Frontenac, Itasca, St. Croix, St. Pepin, Petite Pearl, La Crescent, and Louise Swenson.
In 2021, we increased our vineyard by 3 acres. New plantings included Adalmiina, Frontenac Gris, and L'Acadie Blanc, as well as an expansion of our Itasca, Marquette, and Petite Pearl blocks.
In 2023, we introduced a new variety to our vineyard with a 1/2-acre planting of Frontenac Blanc.
We anticipate our first estate-grown wine from the 2024 harvest.
OUR WINES.
Our wine portfolio is two-fold: part traditional Washington-grown European vinifera, part Wisconsin-grown cold-hardy grapes. We produce wines that highlight the best characteristics of each grape variety, just as Mother Nature intended. Bold, dry reds from the Pacific Northwest find a permanent home on our menu alongside beautiful, aromatic whites of the Midwest.
As with any good wine, be patient, as our offerings will grow and develop with time.
