About the Grapes
We impatiently await our first harvest season when we can share the fruits of our labor, anticipated Fall 2024.
Red wine grapes
Frontenac
High acid grape that yields notes of cherry, plum and chocolate notes. Often used for medium-bodied red wines or rosé.
Marquette
A relative of Pinot Noir. This grape has a profile of moderate tannins and notes of black currant, cherry, black pepper and spice. Often used for dry red wine or rosé.
Petite Pearl
This grape showcases substantial tannins, earthy aromas, and notes of spiced jam.
St. Croix
St. Croix is known for its low acid and low tannin. Displays aromas of raspberry, cedar and spice.
white wine grapes
Adalmiina
A medium-bodied white with light floral and citrus notes.
Frontenac Blanc
Notes of stone fruit and melon give this wine a wide breadth, from dry to semi-sweet.
Frontenac Gris
A bright, aromatic white that highlights flavors of grapefruit, peach, and pineapple.
Itasca
A versatile, low-acid white wine grape with aromas of apple, pear, and violet.
L’Acadie Blanc
L’Acadie Blanc is often used for dry or off-dry wines that let its citrusy profile shine with notes of minerality.
La Crescent
Highly aromatic and versatile from off-dry to sweet wines. Flavor profile includes apricot, lime and honey.
Louise Swenson
Low acid with aromas of flowers, honey and tangerine. Often made into dry white wine.
St. Pepin
Another versatile grape for dry to dessert wines. Aromatics include lemon, grapefruit and honeysuckle.
